The Top Weight Horse Racing System
The horse at the top of the handicap or race is officially the best horse in the race.
However, as the vast majority of horses are not improving. Our Top Weight System (TWS) identifies improving horses that are in form and capable of showing that form against inferior rivals.
We only bet in specific races where we hold a statistical advantage, and only in Grade 1,2,3 and 4 races.
Top weights in grade 3 and 4 races have a better winning record that top weights in grade 1 & 2 races.
Prices of top weights in form tend to be bigger than they should be because punters believe top weights have too much weight. The reality in under specific conditions, top weights do not have enough weight. Also it is not the weight a horse carries in a race but the class of horse it runs against, that determines the outcome.
We ensure that the type of horse our top weight runs against is either out of form or out of its class.
Our Top Weight System operates under all codes 12 months of the year, but especially in handicap chases and all aged handicaps on the flat.
Typically about 60% of all bets win at an average price of 7/2. Prices vary from 6/4 to 33/1,
Recent winners include Won 11/2, Won 5/1, Won 9/2, Won 9/1, Won 12/1 and Won 7/2.
